Praying in the Holy Ghost

It was Apostle Jude, brother of James, both half-brothers of Jesus Christ, that plainly instructed us to pray in the Holy Ghost. He wrote by the inspiration of the Spirit Himself, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” (Jude 1:20-21) The Father sent the Holy Spirit to be our helper in this challenging Christian life. The Holy Spirit is a person, fully distinct, and always acting for the Father and the Son to complete the glorious work of Redemption in our lives. Jesus told His disciples before He ascended to “tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49)

Everything about this Christian life is indeed a challenge. The flesh is weak, and we cannot know the great truths of the Holy Spirit unless we have the sovereign teacher that the Son of God promised us. Apostle Paul said these words perfectly, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:14-16) The Holy Ghost is the “mind of Christ” in us making known to us all the marvels of His wisdom.
Understanding who the Holy Spirit is and what He was sent to accomplish in us brings me to discuss, “Praying in the Holy Ghost.” Lately I have had a deeper yearning than ever to be “a victorious prayer intercessor.” Our world needs men and women that can storm the gates of Heaven in great travail. Elias (Elijah) was described by James as a perfect example of an intercessor. “Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” (James 5:17-18) He was an ordinary person with passions of the flesh just like all of us. Yet he prayed until He got answers. How much more should we in the new covenant be able to pray until we get answers.

The Holy Ghost has been given to us for this very purpose. Prayer is the toughest spiritual work in the Kingdom. There is a barrage of spirits, every one of them equipped with Satan’s tools, to hinder and stop effective praying. The only way you will be able to be a great prayer warrior is to learn complete dependency on the Holy Spirit. Between each of us on earth and our Father in heaven is the kingdom of Satan. He is the “prince of the power of the air.” Apostle Paul to the Ephesians said, “For we wrestle (hand-to-hand combat) not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
After Paul described the tools of our armor, he then stated, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;” (Ephesians 6:18) Note those words, “prayer and supplication in the Spirit”. Your spirit is a whisper of the Father and the Holy Ghost has come to sit upon the throne of your heart and by your spirit to reach back into the heavens by prayer. The Holy Spirit has no way to intercede to God except your spirit and your lips. Intercession for the church, the Body of Christ, is one of His primary offices but you are His temple and His place of manifestation. He must pray through you or His great office is hindered. If you quench Him, He will find someone that will yield to Him.

The Holy Spirit knows our infirmities and weaknesses. Apostle Paul voiced this truth to the church at Rome, the very seat of the anti-Christ. “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” (Romans 8:26-27)

You must learn how to surrender to the awesome powers of the Holy Ghost in prayer. This Apostle said, “I will pray with the Spirit and I pray with the understanding” (I Corinthians 14:15). Notice he said, “I will pray with the Spirit.” It is a fellowship of prayer between the Holy Ghost and a saint of God. Please believe with me for the Spirit to teach us how to “Pray in the Holy Ghost”. Great prayer and great victory will result.

A Throne Set in Heaven

The fourth chapter of Revelation has got to be the most triumphant chapter in the Holy Bible. The First Testament saints and the Second Testament saints are finally, after thousands of years, directly around the majestic throne of the Heavenly Father. The veil of His glory has been removed for them. For the first time since Adam sinned, men and women can sit or stand in His unclouded presence without a redemptive covering. They are glorified Saints in the presence of the eternal throne with the archangels and the Heavenly Host. It is glory indescribable and eternal. This is the triumphant moment of His redeemed, as the beginning of the end is unfurled. This is the final process of the reclaiming of all things that God Almighty might finally be “All in All” in all of His universe.

This chapter begins with Heaven opening like a door and the Son of God Himself speaking with a voice like a trumpet. He calls to John, the writer of His words of Revelation, “Come up hither” and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. Jesus Christ is clearly the Narrator and Host to John as he reveals to him the triumph of this future moment. I have often wondered why Jesus Christ chose not to be in sight during all of chapter four. Finally it dawned on me that His presence is there alright, but as John’s Host to unravel the grandeur of this hour.

This moment in prophecy is the mountain peak. The saints of God have thirsted and longed for His presence. The passion of every Blood-washed soul is to know and see God in His glory and to awake to His visible sight and Divine Person. Being a Christian is more, much more than being delivered from eternal hell. It is the hope of spending eternity in the fellowship of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. This scene in Revelation chapter four is just the beginning, but what a beginning.

John the Apostle has just finished penning the seven letters to the seven churches. This concluded the church age because this book never speaks of the church again until He reminds John in chapter twenty-two that this entire book is a testimony to be given to the churches. He says, “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” (Revelation 22:16) Beginning in this fourth chapter, the overcoming saints have been promoted to being “elders in the presence of God” conducting Heavenly business with the Father and His Son. The scene in this chapter is Heavenly. Earthly places and events have suddenly faded into the background. Instead of talking about earthly cities, the talk is of angels, heavenly seraphims, cheribums, and the seven-fold offices of His Holy Spirit.

For the first time since Adam hid himself in the Garden of Eden because of sin, man can behold God in His glory without a covering of redemptive blood. No event or idea is more positive in proof of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture than this fact. Search the Scripture for man’s approach to God and you will find every approach awesome in redemption requirement. In the Garden the Father slew the first animal to make coats from a blood sacrifice before Adam and Eve came out of hiding. The family of Rahab escaped the dreadful destruction of Jericho by a scarlet thread hanging from her window in the wall. A scarlet cord traced its way from the garden to the Book of Revelation without a break. But now, the Saints are sitting upon thrones in the uncovered presence of Divine Revelation. The Sovereign God is in full view by the redeemed saints of both Testaments. It is a breathtaking picture of our future.

The Open Door in Heaven
We must not bypass the powerful significance of this open door. Heaven is closed at the present. No man or woman can ascend into His glory, because we are flesh and blood, until we are transformed at the Resurrection. Yes, the spirit of the saints goes to His presence to await that event, but our flesh goes back to dust. To see that the saints have passed through this door into Heaven settles the fact that before the seven dark years of the Great Tribulation, the overcoming saints will escape to His wonderful nearness and presence. The chapter begins as following, “After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” (Revelation 4:1)

Jesus Christ said to John that what he was about to see was all in the context of “hereafter.” That statement settled the fact that nothing beyond this moment in this revelation is historic or past. It does not relate to the existing church as far as time or fulfillment but to the future of the saints after this transfer from earth to heaven. Absolutely nothing in Revelation chapter four to chapter twenty-two can be placed on a timeline before the Rapture. This is a wonderful aid in interpreting this great Revelation of Jesus Christ. In chapter one, He was seen in His post-resurrection glory. In chapter two and three, He was seen in the midst of His church, directing the life and ministry of His ecclesia or body of the church. From chapter four on, He must be seen revealing the future beyond the time of the saints’ earthly pilgrimage.

Demonic Assault Against the Mind

There is no area of Satan’s work more effective against the Kingdom than his attack on your mind. If he can get his thoughts in your head, half of his work is already finished. Please do not think that any one of us is so spiritual that we cannot be assaulted mentally. Mental hospitals are full of people that would be perfectly whole if the evil could be driven out of their minds. Most diseases are mental instead of physical. People are diagnosed with psychosomatic illnesses when the doctor cannot find any physical reason why they are sick. The doctor is simply saying that their sickness is in the mind. Please be fair to such people because their sickness is probably even more real and serious than if it was physical instead of mental. Satan and his fallen angels are adept at attacking the thought life of the human family.

“Amazing Grace” was written by John Newton. He was in a mental institution, spending his life in a cave-like room completely destroyed by drugs, alcohol, and a life of sin. Somehow through his ravaged mind he heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and was wonderfully made whole. He then wrote, “Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now I’m found, was blind, but now I see.” Satan had used the abuse of his mind to enslave him and destroy him. Never has a generation been so ravaged mentally as this generation. The many methods of communication—speech, singing, and television entertainment—all go directly to the mind. Anything or everything that Satan has stripped of God is always a bondage to mind and soul.

Jesus taught an incredible truth as reported by Matthew. He said, “The light of the body is the eye (mind): if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” (St. Matthew 6:22-23) The only way to have a pure soul is to keep a pure mind. A pure mind will allow the light to penetrate the whole person or an unclean mind will fill the whole person with darkness. You may only have the unclean thought in the door of your mind at this moment. But, if you do not change your mind, there is a dungeon on the other side of that door.

Satan’s chief business is to assault our mind, but God has given us a remedy. When Satan assaults our mind, he seeks to set up a stronghold with his attack. He accuses someone to us, puts thoughts of doubt or negative feelings about ourselves, or puts unclean thoughts in our mind. The things he can put in your mind are as varied as the world we live in. Our duty is to Biblically judge everything that enters our mind and to quickly reject that which is offensive or unclean. Sometimes our battle takes on a dark attack that requires a special supernatural deliverance.

Apostle Paul gave us the source of our victory. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (II Corinthians 10:3-5) By the power of the Holy Ghost we can “cast down imaginations and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” This is the kind of triumphant living this generation is desperate to experience. There is nothing to call this but Holy Ghost filled living.

This age is the “Antichrist” generation where the enemy is on his last rampage. You must protect your mind just as devotedly as you would refuse to eat something poisoned. A poisoned mind is the gateway to destruction. By the power of Calvary the devil has already lost, but you must claim that victory every day.

By Grace Alone We are Saved

The Grace of God revealed in Jesus Christ is indeed the theme of all of God’s infallible Word. We are saved by grace and there is no secondary method of salvation. We are either saved by grace or eternally lost and condemned to the Lake of Fire. But Grace has taken on an evolution in today’s church. The truth is that grace is not a covering for our sins, it is a cleansing from our sins. Christ did not come to patch up the filthy sinners but to convert them into sons and daughters in his holy family. Much of the church world has been reduced from “Saints saved by grace” to “Sinners saved by grace.” This very thought is anti-Biblical and contrary to every truth about our salvation. It defies every word of God’s Holy Book.

This idea of “Sinners saved by Grace” is nothing but the accommodation of sin. Our sinner-friendly church world has changed the “strait gate that leads to eternal life” to a “broad gate that leads to a religious life.” It may populate our churches, but it will also populate the Lake of Fire. The Book of Romans is heralded as the great Book of “Salvation by Grace” and so it is. The Romans Road to Salvation is the message we all should proclaim. This book teaches that sinners are transformed by the Grace of God. “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?” (Romans 6:1-3).

The “Born Again” believer has no appetite for sin. If you still have an appetite for adultery, fornication, lying, jealousy, bitterness, or any sin identified in Scripture, be honest with yourself and cry out to God for His transforming power in your life. The supernatural power of Christ’s blood will be manifest by the Spirit at your full surrender to Him. He will make you an absolutely transformed individual. Sin will be repulsive to you and, if you fall into error, your heart will rush to the cross for cleansing. Apostle John said it plainly, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (I John 2:1-2)

This ministry is sustained by our friends and partners.

A young believer is not evident by their perfection but by their hatred of the old life and their tender heart to repent immediately. Such a young saint will grow and glow in this sincere grace of Jesus Christ and will soon be a towering pillar in the House of God. They will learn quickly that to whom you yield yourself servant to obey His/his servant you are. “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness” (Romans 6:16-18)

This Biblical standard of “New Life” in Christ is the desperate need of today’s society. Jesus Christ by His Holy Spirit, wants to raise you up unto holiness and power and to show you as His example in the world. He will make an epistle out of you known and read of all men. (II Corinthians 3:2). He will light up your countenance and beautify you with His salvation (Psalms 149:4). Again, Romans says it powerfully, “But if the Spirit (Holy Spirit) of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11)The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Holiness. He takes all of Jesus and make application of Him in your life.

Holy Ghost activity in a supernatural dimension will follow a life totally transformed by the “Grace” of Jesus Christ. I’m sure there will always be weak, floundering believers that hold on by grace but never mature to the example of sainthood. Apostle Paul spoke of these immature believers that will lose all rewards before the Lord. “If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire” (I Corinthians 3:14-15) This certainly is not His plan. You can be more than an overcomer; you can go on unto the stature of the fullness of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:13) and be His light in the world. Grace is the mighty outworking of His sacrifice that will transform your life. He wants to make you His light in your world for His glory. Grace is truly supernatural.

The Rapture and the once mighty Saddam Hussein

LOKKING BACK REMINDS US HOW THINGS WERE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Tuesday, April 15th, 2003

Saddam Hussein accomplished an international triumph in making Iraq, the Cradle of Civilization, a world-renowned place. He did it by making himself the heir of Nebuchadnezzar as a ruthless dictator. The theme of the Babylonian Festival that I attended in rebuilt Babylon was called “From Nebuchadnezzar to Saddam Hussein, Babylon Rises Again.” This country is rich in natural resources, archaeological treasures and historic claims. Saddam Hussein had no idea of what he was sitting on and preparing his country to become.

The only country in the world that could have entered Iraq and liberated it from Saddam without decimating its riches was America. We have saved the archaeological sites of which there are hundreds. We have preserved the second richest oil fields in the world and are now ready to help create a center for future Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Consider the debate that has raged for the last three weeks over the two different versions of how to fight this war. One was to send overwhelming force and the other was to conduct a surgical war. The choice of the latter is the very choice that has saved the country’s riches, both archaeological and natural resources. This decision was prophetic as well as brilliant. Of course, our president and military leaders are not aware of what I’m saying but our God is directing this world’s end time games, not the politicians.

Iraq, where rebuilt Babylon is located, is destined to become a world center for the coming One World Order. As much as I hate the thought, the United Nations will be a great voice in reconstructing the country of Iraq. They had no ability to fight this war, they were even against it, but now their role in preparing it for the New World Order is vital to prophecy. In fact, the Iraq situation has already served to erect a barrier between America and the United Nations, which itself is vital to Bible prophecy. We will remain a friend to Israel, which the United Nations hates and this, above anything else, will keep us on the sideline as the One World Order continues to develop.

I listened last night to news reporters discussing how much the World Court that has been established by the United Nations would love to arrest and try President George W. Bush for his defiance of the United Nations. I knew they were expressing, without their understanding, the prophetic themes that are exploding around the country of Iraq. The liberals in America are UN supporters because their passion is a One World Order and their hatred of President Bush fits this development.

The Religious Right Wing, who constantly have tried to make our President a part of the One Word Order, is totally undiscerning of what is happening. I’m amazed at their ignorance. The truth is that their anti-semetism has blinded their spiritual eyes. America is going to be a sheep nation right through the coming prophetic events and will be rewarded by the Lord Jesus Himself when He sits the nations on His right hand or on the left hand in the coming of the Kingdom of God on earth. I am amazed at the hatred I have incurred by declaring America to be a sheep nation. No, I am not ignoring our sins and the desperate need for repentance and revival. In fact, I am weeping in repentance for America and believing our God for a sovereign visitation of His Spirit.

At the same time, I know what the Bible says must occur and I believe God for His perfect will on this earth. Jesus taught us to pray, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven." Right now, the entire world scene is developing on the Biblical model for the fulfillment of all things. The alignment of nations is quickly fitting His perfect plan. Let me list a number of things that I see developing. I do not claim perfection. The only perfection is in the Bible, the Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ. We see through a glass darkly.

  • America will be a faithful ally to Israel and this will leave us on the political sideline as the New World Order develops.
  • Turkey denied us the use of their country from which to send our Fourth Division into Northern Iraq because their future is with Russia (Gog and Magog), not America.
  • England and Australia, plus a few other nations, will be growing allies of America as they back away from the New World Order and prepare to be a sheep nation themselves.
  • Russia, Germany, and possibly France, along with their allies (Turkey, Iran, Ethiopa, etc.), will soon rattle their sabers against Israel, but America will be one of God’s swords to defend His chosen people.
  • The European union will be strongly anti-Semitic and Antichrist in policy, action, and rhetoric.
  • The destruction of Gog and Magog will cause the whole world to stop and consider the God of Israel and of America and her allies.
  • Iraq will become a world center of prosperity. Tourism will explode in their nation, as her archaeological significance becomes known. The United Nations may well move their headquarters to Baghdad.
  • Babylon’s construction will escalate and this city will shortly be one of the most visited sites in the world. The beauty of this city will soon dazzle the world. America may well help rebuild Babylon until we are forced out by the United Nations.
  • Israel will give statehood to the Palestinians and experience some short-lived peace.
  • Jerusalem will be trodden under the presence of the Gentiles until the Seven Years of Tribulation is finished.
  • America will support the Palestinian state and President Bush will be greatly criticized for supporting this action. Bible prophecy demands this to fulfill the Word, but many Christians are blind to Scriptural mandates.
  • The world’s hatred for America will grow. As our President speaks openly of faith in our God, Scripture, and prayer, the liberals in America and the world will despise us.
  • An awakening of faith and Bible holiness is going to grip America either before or after the Rapture and maybe both. Religious liberalism will hate this awakening and trash it with a fury, but it will all be in vain.
  • Liberal churches, the Roman Catholic system, and Charismatic apostasy will be united and become a competing religious unity fully opposed to the genuine awakening of Bible Christianity.
  • A return to Biblical fundamentalism and the King James Bible will be the strength of the awakening of faith in America.
  • Exciting days are ahead for Bible-believing people.

Conclusion
If you want to be a part of what our God is doing, get back to the literal interpretation of Scripture. These are exciting days for anyone that truly believes and obeys the Word of God. The Kingdom of God will soon envelop this earth from East to West and North to South. The ancient Garden of Eden that was first in Southern Iraq is going to fill the whole earth. Saddam Hussein’s palaces will not even be second rate to the glory of the coming Kingdom of Jesus Christ. You can be a part only if you have surrendered to His holiness and take up your cross to follow Him.

The Rapture The Greatest Demonstration of Sheer Holy Ghost Power Part 2

The Holy Spirit fulfills this office of all life and resurrection as the Spirit of Jesus Christ. All the glory is given to Christ when the Scripture says, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (St. John 1: 4-5)

The glory goes to our Lord Jesus Christ who by His Spirit gives physical life to all creation, even the unsaved. “ . . . For he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.” (Matthew 5:45) Thank God that He not only gives us natural life and a natural world where His evidence is everywhere, but to the souls that surrender to His saving blood, He gives much, much more. It is impossible to be “born again” without the convicting office of the Holy Ghost and His renewing and sealing of our hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ. His Spirit renews our spirit and we are quickened to life in His likeness. We become “new creatures.” “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (II Corinthians 5:17)

The Rapture and the Resurrection
No wonder the Holy Ghost is called “the Seven Spirits of God.” Just as in the trinity we do not dare speak of three different Gods, so in the person of the Holy Ghost we do not speak of seven separate and different Spirits. The Holy Ghost is one, but His expressions and offices are set forth in the completed expression of “seven.” He is the Spirit of Life and was active with Jesus Christ in His resurrection. He is to us the Spirit of Life and there is no resurrection without His anointed powers. Jesus Christ could not be held in death because there was no sin to grant powers of death to His enemy, Satan. If His resurrection was aided by the Holy Ghost even though He was without sin, ours is totally dependant upon the Holy Ghost because of the death which works in our sin nature. But our Lord by His blood has defeated death as our substitute and if we are cleansed by that blood then death has lost its sway. “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 7:24-25a)

Our resurrection and rapture is guaranteed by His New Testament covenant with us. To the Corinthians He said, “For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.” (II Corinthians 5:4-5) The Holy Ghost anointing upon our life is our “insurance policy” or “earnest” (guarantee). Multitudes of empty church people are going to be miserably disappointed after the rapture. You have no assurance of this glorious hope of the rapture if you have no fire of the Holy Ghost in your soul. His living and anointed presence working in your life is your certainty of readiness. It is not an experience we need but a total surrender to His will and leading. Our song must become, “Where He leads me, I will follow.”

The Sheer Display of Holy Ghost Power
No one can possibly doubt the supernatural power of the Holy Ghost. The Bible is a catalog of incredible acts of Divine intervention, expression, and creation. From the parting of the Red Sea, where a host of tens of thousands of escaping Hebrews fled before the Pharaoh’s army, to the event of three Hebrew boys that were unscathed by a fiery furnace, miracles are the common facts. Elijah was supernaturally transported from earth to Heaven, Lazarus was called out of a tomb after his body was already decaying, and Blind Bartimaeus received his sight by a simple command. All of these miracles and a multitude more fill the pages of God’s Holy Bible. The Spirit of God was the Father’s and the Son’s manifestation of the Godhead’s every supernatural act.

This future resurrection and rapture will be the church’s grand finale of supernatural intervention. Nothing since creation comes close to revealing so much power in one moment of time. Every grave of every dead saint from all history [except Enoch, Elijah, Moses, and the saints that arose at His resurrection (Matthew 27:51-53)] will be opened as a testimony to his or her escape. Their dead bodies will be changed from the dust of death and in some cases gathered from seas or the winds to become glorified specimens of eternal lives. Millions of living saints will step out of their suits and dresses into transformed specimens of the same eternal glory.

There is no such thing as a secret rapture. There is no way such a display of Holy Ghost power can escape the attention of this world. Thousands of cars in the developed world or riding carts in the undeveloped world will suddenly be missing their drivers. Telephone lines will be jammed with frantic calls from hysterical husbands, wives, parents, children, etc. to make missing person reports. Big name politicians, who discover that their old grandmother that begged them to serve Jesus has disappeared, will drop to the floor of some government chamber unable to stand. The news will suddenly be filled with liberal ministers explaining the disappearance with deceiving words to cover their broken theology. The world will never be the same after that day. There will be millions that repent and prepare that day for what they missed.

The Rapture The Greatest Demonstration of Sheer Holy Ghost Power Part 1

It is impossible to separate the power of the Holy Ghost from the Rapture and Resurrection of the Saints. If the Resurrection of Jesus Christ was clearly the Divine function of His Spirit, then our resurrection is even more the sovereign work of the same Holy Spirit. Apostle Paul said it plainly, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” (Romans 8:11) This verse is not only speaking of His resurrection but also our present resurrected life with a clear secondary meaning in relation to our coming resurrection. You cannot separate our present Spirit anointed life from our future Rapture and resurrection. It is all the work of His Holy Ghost in us, shedding forth the power of His resurrection. If you do not have that power working in you now, you cannot expect to receive some kind of infusion when the Son of God splits the sky.

This future demonstration of this office of the Holy Ghost is breathtaking. The powers and supernatural activities of this event will expend the greatest display ever to occur at one moment of time since creation. In fact, I think it will be so similar to creation that we can learn much from that historical moment. The account of Moses is a beautiful picture of sheer Holy Ghost creative power. When God the Father chose to create this earth, the Son of God was the Word and the Holy Ghost was His right arm. “And God said” was a statement which imbodied the action of His eternal Son, who He called the “Word.” John’s gospel begins with this account, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (St. John 1:1-3)

But we must give His eternal Spirit His rightful place, also. Even before Jesus the Word spoke the first statement of creation, the Scripture stated, “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2) I love that statement, “the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” The triune God was creating this Universe and each member of the Godhead was powerfully involved. The Father made the choice, the Son spoke the Word, and the Spirit of the Father and the Son acted in supernatural powers and this cosmos “was created.” Every sphere of life in this entire created universe is throbbing with His spark of life since that moment 6,000 years ago. If His presence was withdrawn for one minute, every expression of living cells, atoms, and molecules would fold in instant death. All life is the living manifestation of the whisper of life by His mighty Spirit.

Creation was an incredible moment of mighty acts of power. Our bodies are a living testimony of this power as is all of creation. Every creature after his kind was created and Adam named them by their characteristics. Scientists baffle themselves in their study of life when they refuse to believe the account of Genesis. I have been reading a book entitled, The Body Electric. This capable doctor and surgeon speaks glowingly of the body’s ability to heal itself and has proven that our body is not just a mechanical machine. His documentation of a current, which he cannot understand acting in the human body amazes him. All I could think was how much he needs to meet this Creator I know and then he could know. The mystery of life is everywhere and God’s Spirit (the Holy Ghost) is the ordained source of every speck of that life. Nothing exists apart from our Great God.
